Since Facebook officially made their Timeline pages mandatory for everyone in July, I thought it would be a good time to check what many of the major Real Estate brands were doing with their pages. It is definitely interesting to see what brands do within the constraints of the Timeline layout to differentiate themselves from the competition. I listed all these pages in alphabetical order.
Better Homes and Gardens
A pop of color from Better Homes and Gardens gives a very fun and vibrant look to their page. Their tabs bring traditional real estate website functionality as well, allowing you to find an agent and search for homes.
Century 21
Featuring their sponsorship of U.S. Soccer, who recently won Women’s Gold at the Olympics. They have tabs for buyers and sellers, as well as some recruiting functions right from Facebook.
Coldwell Banker
Coldwell Banker has us longing for the days when all you needed was a sprinkler and a hose to make a great day outside.
Keller Williams
A strong focus on their agents is Keller Williams approach. They prominently show off how many likes they have in one of their feature tabs.
RE/MAX
RE/MAX makes their cover strongly tie in their recent television campaigns. One of their tabs shows the winners of the video competition that they recently ran.
Realty World
Showing that all roads lead to Realty World. Their tabs keep it simple with events and videos.
Royal LePage
Keeping it simple sticking with their white, black and red branding. They show off their mobile capabilities with a demo tab.
Sotheby’s
A gorgeous property that will probably have you longing to live in the South of France. Their page also gives quick access to their YouTube, Pinterest and Twitter accounts.
A bit conspicuous by their absence from the list is Prudential. I found several local Prudential brokerages with pages, but nothing for the main real estate brand.
As you can see with the changes to Facebook brand pages there is still lots of room for brands to do something creative and interesting with their timeline pages. If you haven’t already, check out Lone Wolf’s Facebook page. We keep it updated with lots of great articles, photos and information.
