Be sure the Ancillary Information Tracking option is turned on in Screen #1 of your Real Estate Parameters to provide the entry of this information. To identify your affiliated or preferred service providers, use Real Estate, File Maintenance, Option 11 Additional Set-up Options, Option 2 Affiliated Services File (RE-1-11-2).

Remember that if users are not entering the information in DPN, you will not have valid reporting. DPN does have controls available to force the entry of certain fields including ancillary providers such as mortgage or title. Before forcing the entry of these fields you should keep in mind that certain sale types are not applicable for use of providers such as outgoing referrals or leases – in this case you will need some providers’ setup as Not Applicable. It is also helpful to have a Mortgage Company identified as Cash enabling you to identify deals where use of your affiliate or preferred Mortgage Company was not possible.

When running the ancillary reports, you can restrict the side to be evaluated allowing you to evaluate only sales where your company represented the buyer when reviewing the mortgage company capture rates.
