Exploring Lease Tracking on DPN
Did you know DPN has the ability to capture lease information including expiration dates? This option can be turned on in your Real Estate Parameters (SS.2.RE) and will prompt for additional information each time a sale is entered into DPN using a lease sale type – the Lease field in the sale type must be set to Y.

When this option is turned on and you record information including the lease expiration date, the Lease Tickler Report is available (RE.4.15) to provide your agents additional revenue opportunities by following up on expiring leases.

Another advantage is if you are a Prudential franchise company, short term leases may not be subject to franchise fees. If you are using the PREA data bridge in DPN and are in an area where you have vacation rentals or short term leases, turning on the lease tracking may save you money. Leases that are 60 days or less from sale date to lease expiration date will not be transmitted to PREA. Please confirm with PREA that these sales are exempt from reporting prior to turning on this option.

For additional information or assistance in turning on this feature, please contact support@dpn.com.
