IMPORTANT CHANGES "coming soon" when printing to DISK on DPN If you routinely print to DISK on DPN to view your reports on screen prior to or instead of printing them to paper, you will soon notice a change. In an effort to standardize the output messages on all reporting, DPN will transition to a standard print subroutine on all reports. When printing to either DISK or outputting a report to a file (for reports with this option), the file name will now display on the screen for both instances. Anyone who has used the output to file options on DPN is familiar with the file name display message. The new subroutine will continue to display the file name but will now also append the correct company number to the file name displayed rather than the xxx company designation. When printing to DISK, users are not accustomed to seeing the file name display message. This can be confusing if the report does have an output to file option but the user selected output to printer and the file name displays. The new message will display after using the F8 to exit the report display and will clearly indicate that the report was output to DISK – please be sure to read your screen carefully. |
