Lone Wolf Goes Green You have likely heard about many new "green" initiatives sweeping the world in an effort to make the earth a cleaner place for the years to come. Over every industry we are seeing different ways to contribute, but the common theme is that any step, no matter how small is a step in the right direction. Here at Lone Wolf, we have discovered a few cool ways of doing our part. In the business of selling a product, the most common method of marketing that product at tradeshows and directly to the client has been through literature. As a company, we used to go through approximately 120,000 pieces of paper annually printing our brochures. In 2008, we rolled out our new Interactive Information Packages which are in a CD format. This has resulted in a huge paper savings for us internally and we couldn’t be happier about the change. Here are some other green ideas: Faxes to Email - Depending on the type of fax machine you use, this could be an easy option for your company. Internally here, we simply changed a couple of settings on our fax machine, set up a dedicated workstation for the faxes to go to and voila, paper-less faxes! Putting the message out there - Add an environmental reminder to the bottom of your email signatures. Putting the message out there makes the initiative grow. Check out the format Lone Wolf uses:
Would you like to add this to your email signature? It is actually very easy to add to your own signature - due to the little image not being an image at all, but the letter "P" in the Webdings font. You can either search this on Google and simply copy & paste into your email signature option or if that does not work for you, you can manually set it up. First you will need to setup an HTML signature (Google can also help you out on how to do that), then to add the following to it: <font color="#006600"><strong>Please consider the environment before printing this email.</strong></font> Did you know that there is a National Association of Green Agents and Brokers, who are dedicated to Positive Environmental changes?
