File Manager in Wolf EX
Do you use the file manager feature in your Wolf EX program? If so, we have some helpful tips for maximizing the benefits of the file center and important information to keep your files safe. The File Manager component was added as a feature of Wolf EX to keep all of your needs in one place, but there are some things to remember when using this feature.

Keeping a copy on your hard drive of all documents that you store in your file manager is very important! All web based applications come with risk of going down (offline) once in a while, so backing up the data stored in your file manager is crucial. This goes both ways – if you had your laptop stolen or could no longer use your computer, the web based application holds all of your data so you do not risk losing it.

What you should use the File Center for:

  • You can use this to store a number of different type of documents such as Word, Excel, PDF's and JPEG's.
  • Sharing – using the file center gives the ability for all of your office staff to have access to certain files. Opening up file sharing capabilities means that you don't have to send a file to another team member, you can simply tell them the path to the file in the directory
  • Organization tool – you can use the File Manager as an organizational tool and keep a great record of sharable files.

What you should NOT use the File Center for:

  • Personal file storage - Do not use the File Manager to store personal items such as pictures, videos and music as it consumes valuable storage space and limits the capacity for office document storage and sharing.
